July 31:  Lodi Chamber Stuck in Lodi Car Show.  10:00 am. The American Steel Car Club hosts the annual “Stuck in Lodi” Car Show downtown in the month of August. August 7-8:  Old Sugar Mill - Wine Cheese and Bread Faire.  This is the “Ultimate Gourmet Wine & Food Shopping Experience” in the Sacramento Region.  Cheesemakers from The California Cheese Guild and Panera Bread will showcase the region’s best pairings for our Delta Wines.  Purveyors of specialty chocolates, olive oils, nuts, coffee & teas, spices, and other delicious locally made products will also be featured for tasting and available for purchase.   Shop for your perfect picnic lunch and bottle of wine, then enjoy the beautiful outdoor patio and delta breeze.  Tickets are $15.00 and include a commemorative wine glass, and include attendance in live interactive cheese education seminars and local chef cooking demonstrations.  These classes and demonstrations will show case the areas amazing wines with the locally produced cheese.  Enjoy the winery tours, barrel tasting, and wine tastings both days from 11-5pm.  VIP and Wine Club enjoy early entry starting at 9 am.  Group rates are available by contacting Mary Tye mary@oldsugarmill.com, 530.520.6706.  The Old Sugar Mill can accommodate limos and buses.   Guests looking to stay the weekend will receive special rates at the Le Rivage Hotel (only 10 minutes north of the Old Sugar Mill) just ask for the Old Sugar Mill rate when booking rooms.

August 13 Stockton Visitor & Conference Burea - Downtown Stockton Art Walk.  The Art Walk is held on the 2nd Friday from June to August. It is a self-guided tour (pick up a free guide with map at participating venues) featuring art work in every medium; from photography to sculpture, and from fine art to live music and spoken word. Downtown businesses become “galleries” hosting local artists. All demonstrations and exhibits are free of charge. The Tidewater Art Gallery and San Joaquin Law Library host their monthly Meet the Artist Receptions featuring guest and resident artists as well as live music. September 26:  Taste of Lodi.  1:00pm - 5:00pm, Location: Wine & Roses, 2505 W Turner Rd., Lodi, CA. This extraordinary event features over 40 award winning Lodi wineries along with food selections from some of the area's finest restaurants and caterers. There are wine seminars that take place throughout the day, chef demonstrations, and live music. October 1-3:  Antique Classic Boat Society at B&W Resort Marina. October 3:  Lodi Chamber "Lodi Street Faire".  8:00 am to 4:00 pm.  The Lodi Street Faire is a Lodi District Chamber of Commerce sponsored event held twice annually - the first Sunday in May and the first Sunday in October. About 700 vendors participate at each event, selling antiques, arts & crafts and commercial items. There are also approximately 20 to 25 food vendors who sell everything from hamburgers, hot dogs, sausages, pizza, etc. Also available is Philippine and Chinese food. You can also get ice cream, soft drinks, and coffee. There are about 100 volunteers who help direct vendors where their booths are located. vendors start setting up around 2:00 a.m. and need to be in place by 7:00 a.m. The Faire goes from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

October 8-10:  Rio Vista Bass Derby  & Festival.  The oldest fishing derby on the West Coast will once again be highlighted at the Rio Vista Bass Festival. This year, anglers will be able to choose between two fishing contests on the same ticket.  Enjoy the festival with food, booths, music and fun. Contact:  (707) 374-2700

October 9:  Stockton Visitor & Conference Bureau "Stocktoberfest 2010".  Modeled after a traditional German Oktoberfest, seating is outdoors on long benches and tables under a lit tent. Participants will enjoy collectable glass beer steins, German beer and food, a variety of competitions (like keg lifting), and live entertainment ranging from polka to local rock. October 30: Lodi Chamber, Downtown Trick-or-Treat & Fall Festival.  The merchants downtown invite the community to trick-or-treat at their establishments on the Saturday closest to Halloween between 12 noon and 5 p.m. The Fall Festival carries on into the evening and has many family activities which include; live music, a food court, pumpkin painting, petting zoo, face painting, costume contests, games, raffles and a pumpkin carving competition.  Contact:  (209) 369-8052

DECEMBER

December 2:  Lodi Chamber Parade of Lights.  The Downtown Lodi Business Partnership presents the annual Parade of Lights – a magical holiday parade that illuminates the streets of downtown Lodi. The countless lights, floats, marching bands, dance groups and themed vehicles will entertain thousands of viewers on the first Thursday in December at 6:17 p.m. along the streets of downtown. The one mile route begins on Pine Street and continues down Church Street, Lodi Avenue, School Street and Locust.  A brilliantly lit horse-drawn carriage kicks off the festivities featuring the grand marshal. The spectacular parade concludes with holiday cheer from Santa Claus riding atop a Lodi fire truck. Contact: (209) 369-8052
