September 12: The Point Restaurant Fundraiser for Julie Griffin. 4 pm to 7pm. Dinner tickets are $10.00 per person and The Point is donating 100% of the dinner proceeds back to Julie and Mike. October 1-2: Discover The Delta - Delta Farmer's Market OPENING. The long awaited opening of the Delta Farmer's Market will take place on October 1st. A ribbon cutting ceremony is scheduled for 10:00 am on October 1st, featuring California Secretary of Agriculture, AG Kawamura, the Discover the Delta Foundation Board of Directors and Foundation President Ken Scheidegger. Also in attendance will be Supervisor Don Nottoli, Rio Vista Mayor and other local elected officials and dignitaries. The public is invited to watch the ribbon cutting ceremony. After the ribbon cutting, enjoy the live, crisp vocals & sounds of Gary's acoustic tracks. The market will be open following the ceremony.

October 3: Lodi Chamber "Lodi Street Faire". 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. The Lodi Street Faire is a Lodi District Chamber of Commerce sponsored event held twice annually - the first Sunday in May and the first Sunday in October. About 700 vendors participate at each event, selling antiques, arts & crafts and commercial items. There are also approximately 20 to 25 food vendors who sell everything from hamburgers, hot dogs, sausages, pizza, etc. Also available is Philippine and Chinese food. You can also get ice cream, soft drinks, and coffee. There are about 100 volunteers who help direct vendors where their booths are located. vendors start setting up around 2:00 a.m. and need to be in place by 7:00 a.m. The Faire goes from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

October 9: Stockton Visitor & Conference Bureau "Stocktoberfest 2010". Modeled after a traditional German Oktoberfest, seating is outdoors on long benches and tables under a lit tent. November 2-4: 39th Annual Marina Recreation Association Educational Conference and Trade Show. Pre-conference events are Tuesday, November 2, 2010, starting with the 16th Annual Golf Tournament at 10:00 am. This year we are also offering CPR/First Aid Training on Tuesday, November 2, 2010. The conference officially kicks off that evening with a Welcome Reception in the Exhibit Hall at 5:30 pm. Opening speaker will be Rick Cronk, former President of Dreyer's Ice Cream. Keynote will be Leonard Nimoy, Star Trek's Mr. Spock. There are seminars for all levels of Marina Operations as well as Boatyards. December 2: Lodi Chamber Parade of Lights. The Downtown Lodi Business Partnership presents the annual Parade of Lights – a magical holiday parade that illuminates the streets of downtown Lodi. The countless lights, floats, marching bands, dance groups and themed vehicles will entertain thousands of viewers on the first Thursday in December at 6:17 p.m. along the streets of downtown. The one mile route begins on Pine Street and continues down Church Street, Lodi Avenue, School Street and Locust. A brilliantly lit horse-drawn carriage kicks off the festivities featuring the grand marshal. The spectacular parade concludes with holiday cheer from Santa Claus riding atop a Lodi fire truck.
